Flashback Maui August 2013 The Plantation House

Today I bring you some views from our favorite restaurant in Maui - The Plantation House. The view is the draw. Every single time. http://theplantationhouse.com/

Flashback - Maui August 2013 - Dinner at Hali'imaile General Store

If you go to Maui, you have to go to Hali'imaile General Store. Possibly the best dinner in Maui. Excellent Mai Tais as well. Thanks to my Mom, Todd, Kirsten and Lynn for a great dinner.

For more details, check out their website. http://bevgannonrestaurants.com/haliimaile/

Last of the Current Re-modelling - Guest Bedroom Oct 2014

Feels like it took forever to complete this room. Glad it is done before the next round of holiday guests.

As always, thanks to my brother for his help, my wife for choosing the color scheme and my father for showing me that DIY projects do work out.

And the final result:

In Compton’s Backyard – Angeles Abbey Cemetery – October 2014

With Bob Williams back for a visit, we continued our ongoing series – In the Backyard. Or, according to some of our friends you found that where????

This trip took us to the middle of Compton CA for a visit to another LA landmark – Angeles Abbey Cemetery. Angeles Abbey was built in 1923 and features Byzantine, Moorish and Spanish architectural styles. (Or at least what passes for Byzantine, Moorish and Spanish architectural styles in 1920's Los Angeles.)

While most of the crypts were locked, we were able to enter one that was open to the public.
