With Bob Williams back for a visit, we continued our ongoing
series – In the Backyard. Or, according to some of our friends you found that
where????
This trip took us to the middle of Compton CA for a visit to
another LA landmark – Angeles Abbey Cemetery. Angeles Abbey was built in 1923
and features Byzantine, Moorish and Spanish architectural styles. (Or at
least what passes for Byzantine, Moorish and Spanish architectural styles in 1920's Los Angeles.)
While most of the crypts were locked, we were able to enter
one that was open to the public.
